Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 3 November 2026
These terms apply to all training sessions booked with Open Road Motorcycling, Atlas Ave, Dock Rd, Courtbrack, Limerick, Ireland (“we”, “us”). By booking a session, you agree to these terms.
1. Bookings
- Sessions can be booked online through our website or by contacting us on WhatsApp (+353 85 737 0600).
- A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation from us and payment has been made.
- Please give accurate information when booking, including your learner permit details.
2. Prices and payment
- Your first IBT session lasts up to 3 hours and costs €100, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- Payment is due in advance and is processed securely by Stripe.
- Prices may change, but the price confirmed at the time of booking will always apply to that booking.
3. Cancellations and rescheduling by you
- 48 hours’ notice or more: you can reschedule free of charge or receive a full refund.
- Less than 48 hours’ notice: the session fee is non-refundable. We may offer to reschedule at our discretion.
- No-show or late arrival: if you do not attend, or arrive more than 20 minutes late, the session is treated as used and the fee is non-refundable.
- To cancel or reschedule, use the link in your booking confirmation email or contact us on WhatsApp.
4. Cancellations by us
We may cancel or stop a session for safety reasons, including bad weather, road conditions or instructor illness. In that case, we will offer you a new date or a full refund for the part of the session not delivered.
5. Your responsibilities
- You must hold a valid learner permit for the correct motorcycle category and bring the original to every session.
- You must wear suitable protective gear, including an approved helmet, gloves, sturdy boots and protective clothing.
- You must not attend a session under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any medication that may affect your ability to ride.
- You must follow your instructor’s instructions at all times.
Your instructor may refuse to start or may end a session if they believe it is unsafe to continue, for example if you are unfit to ride, do not have the correct documents or do not have suitable gear. In these cases, the session fee is non-refundable.
6. IBT certificates
IBT certificates are issued in line with Road Safety Authority (RSA) requirements, only when all required modules have been completed to the required standard. Booking or paying for a session does not guarantee that a certificate will be issued. The number of sessions you need depends on your ability and progress.
7. Motorcycles and equipment
If you use a motorcycle or equipment provided by us, you must take reasonable care of it. You may be responsible for damage caused by deliberate misuse or by not following your instructor’s instructions.
8. Liability
Motorcycling involves risk. We take every reasonable care to deliver training safely, but we are not liable for loss, damage or injury except where caused by our negligence or where the law does not allow liability to be excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Privacy
We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction over any disputes.
